Corrections Policy | SnugGym
Our Commitment to Accuracy
SnugGym publishes research-backed analysis built on manufacturer specifications and aggregated user data. Despite our verification process, errors can occur. When they do, we correct them promptly and transparently.
How to Report an Error
If you find a factual error, outdated specification, broken link, or incorrect calculation on SnugGym:
Email: corrections@snuggym.com
Include:
- The page URL where the error appears
- The specific error (quote the incorrect text if possible)
- The correct information, with a source if available
- Your contact email (optional, for follow-up questions)
Correction Process
When we receive an error report, we follow this process:
- Acknowledgment (within 48 hours): We confirm receipt of the report.
- Verification (within 1 week): We check the reported error against manufacturer sources and independent evidence.
- Correction (within 48 hours of verification): Verified errors are corrected in the published content.
- Notification: We notify the reporter of the correction (if contact information was provided).
Timeline summary: Most corrections are published within 1-2 weeks of report receipt.
Visible Correction Notes
When we make a significant correction to published content, we add a visible correction note at the top of the affected page:
Correction (2026-06-18): The original version of this page incorrectly stated the Bowflex SelectTech 552 warranty as 1 year. The correct warranty period is 2 years as confirmed by the manufacturer.
We correct notes for:
- Factual errors (incorrect specifications, prices, dates)
- Calculation errors (percentage comparisons, ratio calculations)
- Broken or incorrect links
- Significant omissions that change product evaluation
We do not note corrections for:
- Typographical errors (spelling, grammar)
- Formatting changes
- Minor wording clarifications that do not change meaning
Update vs. Correction
We distinguish between corrections (fixing errors) and updates (refreshing content with new information):
| Correction | Update | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Fix something that was wrong | Add new information that did not exist before |
| Example | Wrong weight capacity | New product release |
| Visible note | Yes | No (update date changed instead) |
| Trigger | Reader report or internal review | Scheduled review or market change |
Prevention
We minimize errors through:
- Two-source verification: All numerical specifications verified against at least two independent sources
- Evidence Registers: Every claim mapped to a documented source before publication
- Calculation checks: All derived metrics (percentages, ratios, comparisons) independently recalculated
- Scheduled reviews: Content refreshed at defined intervals to catch outdated information
